48 Hours In Washington, D.C. Travel Continuing our mission to #BringTheBrewToYou we traveled from New York City to Washington, D.C., the playground for the powerful. Our first two pop-up coffee shops were at National Geographic and GEICO. Both interesting for their own very unique reasons. The folks at Nat Geo were not so ironically intrigued in our sourcing and sharing of the world of coffee. The cross-over between geography and exploration, sourcing and sharing, made for some great engagement. At GEICO we took a different route, we sourced donations for a charity they work closely with, Children’s Hospital. On a road trip designed to connect with the community, I don’t think it gets much better than this. But then again we have about another 3,168 miles to go. When you’re in DC for 48 hours and you don’t have to serve coffee at 6AM, here’s what we recommend: Early Morning Brew: Sidamo Filter The Wydown Peregrine Espresso Big Bear Cafe The Eats: Le Diplomate Falafelshop Bub and Pop’s Old Ebbit Grill &Pizza Roses Luxury Founding Farmers The Things: Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History National Gallery of Art Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool Check out DC Cool for alternative “cool” Late Night Brew: Raven Grill The Pug Red Derby Tune Inn Cheers to caffeinated exploring!
